“Calendar Views” are different formats that you can view your Calendar in. Each Calendar View will arrange your Calendar data into a different layout and specify how much of your Calendar data you can see at once. You can choose between Day, Week, Month, Year, Side-by-Side, and Event view.
In the Keep&Share Calendar application, you can easily switch your calendar between different types of Calendar Views to using the buttons in the top bar of your calendar.
If you are looking for information on a specific calendar view, please click on one of the links below:
Types of Calendar Views
Day View
This view will organize your calendar by units of a day and give you the largest Day Boxes. In Day View, your Day Box can be broken into a Day Grid consisting of individual time slots for every hour of the day. You can turn the Day Grid on and customize its Time Slots in the Customize and Share Screen.
You can click on the day view button beside the Calendar View drop-down menu to cycle through the day view options, which include 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-day options.
Week View
This view will organize your calendar by units of a week and give you larger Day Boxes than month view does. You can click on the week view button beside the drop-down Calendar View menu to cycle through the week view options, which include 1 week, 1 week column view, 2 week, 4 week, 6 week, and 8 week options, all with or without weekends.
Month View
Your calendar's default view when you create it. This view displays Day Boxes for every day of the month displayed. Day Boxes are where information for a particular date is displayed in your calendar.
You can change your month view by clicking the view button to the right of the “Calendar View” drop-down menu. This will switch your month view display between the standard month view and showing a month view with no weekends.
Year View (headlines)
The "Year View (headlines)" is a special view that allows you to glance at a compressed version of all of Day Boxes in your year at once.
If you choose to organize your events by headlining them (that is, adding an “@” symbol to the front of your event), you can click the Year View button to use the Year View (Headlines). In the headline view, the first 10 characters of a headlined event will appear on your calendar. You will also see if there are multiple headlined events in a single day in your calendar. This can help with planning around important events in your year.
In the Year View (Headlines + Activity), vertical bars are displayed in your Day Boxes for every event you have in your calendar, letting you quickly tell with just a glance which days of your year have the most events.
Event View
This view organizes your calendar not by a time unit, but by the events in your calendar. It compresses Day Boxes into long stretched rectangles.
You can click on the event view button to cycle through the event view options, which include 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, and 120-day options.
Side-by-Side View
Keep&Share paid accounts have an additional “Side-by-Side” Calendar View option that allows you to look at multiple calendars side by side. To learn more about this feature, visit the Side-by-Side Viewing solutions folder.
Tag Timeline
“Event Tags” are tags that you can use to label and color-code your Calendar Events. These tags are consistent through all of your Calendars in your Keep&Share account and help you to visually link together similar Events very quickly.
The "Tag Timeline" view lists each of your Event Tags on its own row so that you can compare events marked with certain tags over time. Events without tags appear at the top of the view and you can click and drag them to a row to automatically apply an Event Tag to that event.
Default View
The “Default View” is the view that you have selected for your Calendar in your Calendar’s “Customize & Share” settings. You can choose the default Calendar View that you want to show first every time that you click on that Calendar's name. This option will only show up in your "Calendar View" drop-down menu if you have set a Default Calendar View. You can always switch to other views for your Calendar, but this is the view that will show first. Learn more about setting your Default Calendar View.
