When you have a spreadsheet of addresses on your computer, the first row in your spreadsheet is considered the “field name row.” If you are importing your addresses into other software, such as an email marketing client or address label software, that software may also use different field names from the ones you are using (such as name, address, email, etc.). In this case, you can create a custom field name map when exporting your addresses. Keep in mind that you can also print address labels directly from your Keep&Share account.

“Field mapping” helps to make sure that all of your contact information is exported with the field names that you want to use. First, you will need to access the “Customize” screen for your address book to export it. Please follow the steps in the image below:

Once you are on the “Address Export” screen, you can click on the “Create” button at the bottom of the screen and a pop-up dialog will appear. In this pop-up dialog, you can type your new field names into the text fields and when you are finished you can click on the “Save” button to save your new map.

Note: Exporting addresses using a field name map only works when you are exporting .CSV files.

Once you have created your field name map, it will be available anytime that you export addresses. Click on the “Export Address Book” button to complete the exporting process.
