Events are a type of Calendar entry that is structured around a scheduled time or length of time, with options to connect to your email, phone, and other Calendars. To create or edit an event in your Calendar, you will need to open the Event Editor either by clicking on the Event in a date on your calendar, clicking on the "+" icon or clicking the white space in your Day Box.

Hiding details in your Event text

Events offer you the option to hide details in your text behind an asterisk (*) that can be moused over for extra information. You can hide details in your text simply and easily by placing the hidden text in between square brackets. See the image below:

Note: In order for the “hide details” feature to work, use only plain text (non-formatted text, which you can create with the erase formatting tool) with no carriage returns or paragraphs. Neither hidden details nor the placeholder asterisk will appear by default in printouts of your calendar, but you can print hidden text.

Advanced hidden details in your Event text

You can create two versions of your hidden details, with one version available to sharers with viewing rights, and another version of details only for people you've given Edit Rights to as well.

You can create this by placing a vertical bar character “|” your bracketed hidden detail text to divide the text between viewers and editors of your calendar. Text to the left of the vertical bar will visible only to those with edit rights to your calendar. Text to the right of the vertical bar will be visible to anyone with viewing rights to your calendar.

Note: You can also use this method to hide details in your Day Note Text as well.
